Group Moderator (Engagement & Support)

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor posts and comments for violations of group rules.

  • Greet new members, engage in discussion threads, and encourage participation.

  • Answer common questions and redirect members to resources.

  • Escalate issues to admins when needed.

Required Skills:

  • Familiarity with Facebook group tools (moderator dashboard, keyword alerts, approvals).

  • Strong written communication; polite and professional tone.

  • Ability to de-escalate conflict or enforce rules respectfully.

Experience or Portfolio Needed:

  • Portfolio to show crochet skills required

  • Previous experience moderating a group or community is preferred.

Tools & Tech:

  • Facebook, Google Sheets or Docs (for tracking)

Time Commitment:

  • 6+ hours/week, split between checking in and interacting

  • Availability in mornings, evenings, or weekends is helpful

Reports To: Crystal (Founder) and designated Community Lead
